On Monday night, the Westchester County Board of Legislators hosted its annual Italian-American Heritage Celebration, honoring Robert Caluori, CFO of the Westchester Library System and Louis Picani, labor leader and Vice President of the Westchester-Putnam Central Labor Body (WPCLB).

In its sixteenth Board meeting of the year, the Westchester County Board of Legislators passed several initiatives, including affordable housing, sewage and electric infrastructure upgrades, and the replacement of a 45-year-old smokehouse building.

This month, Legislator Nancy Barr was appointed by NYSAC President Ben Boykin to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Human Services and Education Policy Steering Committee.
