White Plains, NY — Calling the first half of 2018 "a period of fast-paced achievement and historic change for the Westchester County Board of Legislators," Board Chair Ben Boykin (D - Harrison, Scardale, White Plains), on Friday released a Mid-Year Report detailing the work of the legislature over the past six months, and highlights from the legislative session to date.

White Plains, NY — On Tuesday, County Executive George Latimer shared with the Board of Legislators the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report of Westchester County for the year ended December 31, 2017.  As expected, the report showed a deficit for 2017 of nearly $32.2 million.

Legislator Margaret Cunzio (C) Mount Pleasant, North Castle, Pleasantville, was joined by her legislative colleagues in approving $8.2 million in funding to undertake a complete rehabilitation of 2.17 miles of Columbus Avenue in Mount Pleasant. The funding package includes a previously approved Bond Act for the design of the project in the amount of $870,000.

White Plains, NY — The Westchester County Board of Legislators marked Caribbean-American Heritage Month with a special ceremony Monday night honoring Caribbean-American community leaders and organizations in Westchester.
