White Plains, NY — Pursuant to Governor Andrew Cuomo's Executive Order 202.15, the Board of Legislators has established a special phone-in procedure for the public hearing scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, on a proposed relief measure for property taxpayers.

White Plains, NY — On Friday, the Board of Legislators began the process of approving tax relief for Westchester property owners this year because of the coronavirus epidemic.

White Plains, NY — In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Board of Legislators is instituting a range of steps to protect the public health and the safety of our staff, while at the same time insuring that the essential work of government can continue.

These steps, include the suspension of in-person public access to meetings, pursuant to a recent Executive Order issued by Governor Andrew Cuomo; new procedures for written participation in public hearings in lieu of in-person access; new procedures for Committee meetings; and in-person staffing changes.

White Plains, NY — On Monday, March 16, 2020, the Westchester County Board of Legislators will exercise Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Executive Order No. 202.1, “Continuing Temporary Suspension and Modification of Laws Relating to the Disaster Emergency,” effective March 12 through April 11, which temporarily suspends portions of the New York State Open Meetings Law.
