The Westchester County Board of Legislators condemns in the strongest possible terms the tragic shooting that claimed the lives of two Israeli embassy staff members outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. last night. This senseless act of violence represents an attack not only on these individuals and their families, but on the values of tolerance and respect that define our community.

Honors Community Organizations Dedicated to Service and Safety

Board Celebrates Jewish American Heritage Month

The Westchester County Board of Legislators celebrated Jewish American Heritage Month on Monday night with a ceremony honoring two esteemed organizations: the Community Thanksgiving Dinner Program hosted by Temple Shaaray Tefila in Bedford Corners, an interfaith volunteer effort which has fed thousands for more than 20 years, and Community Security Services, a White Plains-based national nonprofit empowering volunteers to protect Jewish institutions and gatherings from security threats.
