White Plains, NY -- Even though the attack at Club Q was hundreds of miles away in Colorado, we feel the hurt and pain of those affected by Saturday’s violent attack on the LGBTQ+ community deeply. A gay club or bar is a sanctuary from society’s judgment and intolerance – a place to truly live and breathe in one’s own truth. To see this safe space infiltrated in order to harm those inside for simply existing, is devastating. The Westchester County Board of Legislators firmly rejects discrimination of any kind and stands with its vulnerable communities against hate.
