Westchester County, NY — The Board of Legislators has approved a new lease and easement agreement to construct a state-of-the-art radio tower and stormwater management facility on Croton Falls Fire Department property in North Salem. This project is a critical component of the County's initiative to modernize its outdated radio system, with work planned across twenty-nine sites. In addition, the County will lease a surplus generator to the Fire District to ensure reliable backup power for its communication equipment.

Chair of the Public Safety Committee Terry Clements (New Rochelle, Pelham, Pelham Manor) and Legislation Committee Chair Colin Smith (Cortlandt, Peekskill, Yorktown) said, "By approving this critical infrastructure upgrade, we are continuing to ensure the safety of our residents, investing in the future of our emergency services and ensuring that our first responders have the reliable communication tools they need to keep our community safe."
