Important Changes to SNAP Benefits Starting November 1

New Federal Work Requirements and Eligibility Rules Start November 1, 2025.
Failure to comply may result in loss of benefits.

What's Changing:
Federal work requirements for adults ages 18-64 without dependent children under 14.

Who's Affected:
Those considered Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependent Children (ABAWD):

  • Ages 18-64
  • Dependents ages: 14 and older
  • Able to work

What You Must Do:
To receive SNAP benefits beyond 3 months in a 3-year period, you must:

  • Work at least 80 hours per month, OR
  • Participate in a qualified training program
