New Federal Work Requirements and Eligibility Rules Start November 1, 2025.
Failure to comply may result in loss of benefits.
What's Changing:
Federal work requirements for adults ages 18-64 without dependent children under 14.
Who's Affected:
Those considered Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependent Children (ABAWD):
- Ages 18-64
- Dependents ages: 14 and older
- Able to work
What You Must Do:
To receive SNAP benefits beyond 3 months in a 3-year period, you must:
- Work at least 80 hours per month, OR
- Participate in a qualified training program
