Phone-In Public Hearing On Coronavirus Taxpayer Relief Measure To Continue Friday, April 17

White Plains, NY — The Board of Legislators will hold a special meeting on Friday, April 17 at 5 p.m. to consider a property taxpayer relief plan that would authorize towns to slash late-payment penalties through July 15 on County and Town taxes.

The meeting will begin with a continuation of a public hearing on the matter which was opened during the Board's meeting on Tuesday, April 14.

The Board has established a special phone-in procedure for the hearing, pursuant to Governor Andrew Cuomo's Executive Order 202.15.

Participants who wish to speak on Friday can register by 3 p.m. that day. The hearing is on the matter of RES-2020-36: PH-Amending Westchester County Tax Law -- A "LOCAL LAW amending Chapter 283 of the Laws of Westchester County relating to the Westchester County Tax Law." Local Law Intro 12598- 2020.
