On Monday, the Westchester County Board of Legislators celebrated their annual observance of Albanian-American Heritage Month by honoring two exemplary Albanian-Americans: Hon. Joseph J. DioGuardi and Angjelina Nika.

Legislator Emiljana Ulaj (D- Cortlandt, Ossining, Croton, Briarcliff, Buchanan) presented the first proclamation to Hon. Joseph J. DioGuardi praising his dedication to public service.

The Board declared November 19, 2024 “Joseph DioGuardi Day” in Westchester County.

The Minority Leader of the Board Margaret A. Cunzio (C- North Castle, Mount Pleasant, Pleasantville, Sleepy Hollow, Harrison) presented the second proclamation to Angjelina Nika praising her lifetime achievements and dedication to Westchester County.

The Board declared November 19, 2024 “Angjelina Nika Day” in Westchester County.
