This year marks the beginning of the second half-century that the North Castle Diner has been doing business as an eatery at its location in North White Plains.   In 1958, Salvatore De Raffele purchased the property at 720 North Broadway to operate as a diner.  For years, the business was known as the Sherwood Diner.  In 1966, the business name changed to the North Castle Diner, honoring the town in which it is located.  The North Castle Diner is currently operated by Paul De Raffele, the son of its original owner, who continues the tradition of providing a convenient and welcoming place for local residents to gather and enjoy good company and good food
