With a quorum present, the Committee on Public Works, Transportation, Labor & Parks was called to order at 3:33 p.m.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION:

PWTLP #223: Proposed Act authorizing the County to issue up to $1,130,000 in bonds to finance Capital Project RB2MM – Gallows Hill Road over Hollow Brook, Cortlandt.

Deputy Commissioner of Public Works, Phil Kruck, stated that the bridge has average traffic count of 4,000 vehicles/day, and has a bridge rating of 4.9. The funding is being requested for design, construction, and construction management.

(Burton, Pinto) move to approve funding for Capital Project RB2MM. Motion passes 5-0.

PWTLP #225: Proposed Act authorizing the County to issue up to $500,000 in bonds to finance Capital Project RB2PP – Fenimore Road over Bronx River Parkway.

Mr. Kruck said that Public Works is requesting funding for waterproofing repairs to concrete deck, design, construction, and construction management. The bridge has an average traffic count of 16,000 vehicles/day, and a bridge rating of 5.203.

(Pinto, Myers) motion to approve funding for Capital Project RB2PP. Motion passes 5-0.
PWTLP #226: Proposed Act authorizing the County to issue up to $330,000 in bonds to finance Capital Project B0077 – Infrastructure Improvements, Valhalla Campus.

Mr. Kruck stated that this funding would pay for the final phase of project B0077, and would make life safety improvements, boiler room renovations, new fire alarm system, as well as separating the gas system from the boiler room.

(Pinto, Alvarado) motion to approve funding for Capital Project B0077. Motion passes 5-0.

PWTLP #229: Proposed Act authorizing the issuance of up to $1,860,000 in bonds to finance Capital Project RB074 – Hamilton Avenue, CR 52, White Plains.

Mr. Kruck indicated that this bond would fund the resurfacing of approximately 0.55 miles of roadway, including installing of new reflector markers, road paintings, and signs. The road has average traffic count of 21,000 vehicles/day, and a condition rating of 56.

(Burton, Myers) motion to approve fundig for Capital Project RB074. Motion passes 5-0.

PWTLP # 230: Proposed Act authorizing the issuance of up to $1,590,000 to finance Capital Project RB092 – Anderson Hill Road, CR 18, White Plains.

Mr. Kruck stated that such funding would provide resurfacing, new reflectors, and pavement marking over 1.25 miles of Anderson Hill Road.

(Burton, Pinto) Motion to approve funding for Capital Project RB092. Motion passes 5-0.

PWTLP #231: Proposed Act authorizing the issuance of up to $1,200,000 in bonds to finance Capital Project RB095 – Ardsley Road, CR 78, Greenburgh.

Mr. Kruck said that this funding would provide resurfacing, replacement of concrete barriers, and new pavement markings between Central Park Ave. and the Bronx River Parkway (~0.68 miles). The road has an average traffic count of 15,000 vehicles/day, and a road rating of 76.

(Pinto, Burton) motion to approve funding for Capital Project RB095. Motion passes 5-0.

On a motion by Legislator Alvarado, seconded by Legislator Myers, the Committee on Public Works, Transportation, Labor, & Parks adjourned at 4:21 P.M.
