MINUTES: March 14, 2006

With a quorum present, the Committee on Public Works, Transportation, Labor & Parks was called to order at 3:42 pm.

SEWER DISTRICT MODIFICATIONS (letters to be sent to Administration):

1. Resolution from the Town of Yorktown requesting the inclusion of 36 parcels of land from the Gomer Street Sewer District into the Peekskill Sanitary Sewer District. PWTLP #43a

2. Correspondence from the Town of Yorktown requesting that an additional parcel be added to the Peekskill Sanitary Sewer District (3896 Crompond Road). PWTLP #43b

3. Resolution from the Town of Yorktown requesting that 10 parcels of land be added to the Peekskill Sanitary Sewer District (Jacob Rd, Field St. and Crompond Rd.). PWTLP #43c

4. Resolution from the Town of Cortlandt requesting the addition of one parcel to the Peekskill Sanitary Sewer District (Oregon Road). PWTLP #43d

5. Resolution from the Town of Cortlandt requesting the addition of one parcel to the Peekskill Sanitary Sewer District (33 Hill and Dale Road). PWTLP #43e

6. Resolution from the Town of Cortlandt requesting reinstatement of one parcel to the Peekskill Sanitary Sewer District (Pierce Street). PWTLP #43f

7. Request from the Village of Briarcliff Manor to add 1 parcel of property to the Ossining Sanitary Sewer District (2 Chestnut Lane). PWTLP #43g

On a motion by Legislator Myers, seconded by Legislator Ryan a letter for all six resolutions and one request be sent to the Administration to be distributed to the appropriate Departments. Motion passed 4-0.

ADDED FINISHER:

Act directing the Commissioner of Environmental Facilities to proceed with improvements for County Water District No. 1. PWTLP #39

Chairman Alvarado indicated that this item, in error, had been placed on the Board Agenda and a public hearing date set. The Committee agreed that they have no objection to either the item itself, or the setting of the public hearing. However, the item requires that the Committee sign it out.

On a motion by Legislator Ryan, seconded by Legislator Burton, sign out the Act directing the Commissioner of Environmental Facilities to proceed with improvements for County Water District No. 1 for all purposes. Motion passed 4-0.

On a motion by Legislator Burton, seconded by Legislator Myers, the Committee on Public Works, Transportation, Labor, & Parks adjourned at 3:45 pm.
