PUBLIC WORKS, TRANSPORTATION, LABOR, & PARKS

With a quorum present the Committee was called to order at 3:35 pm.
COUNTY-OWNED & MAINTAINED BRIDGES
Ralph Butler, Commissioner of the Department of Public Works spoke to the Committee about the status of the county-owned and maintained bridges. He discussed the capital program for the 40 out of the 54 structures that will be maintained or replaced in 2007.
A copy of the hand-out of all of the bridges is on file and available for review.
Commissioner Butler stated that from his knowledge Westchester has never had a bridge collapse or fail.
The Committee discussed the specific structure and plans for several of the bridges in the County.
