In-coming Director of Playland & Deputy Commissioner of Parks, Dan McBride sat with the Committee to discuss the upcoming season and the effectiveness of the Stored Value Car System.
Deputy Commission Dan McBride stated that transactions have been quicker, allowing for more purchases. He also indicated that they have planned to install kiosks where patrons can use their credit card to refill their “Fun Cards.” The cards will eventually give employees to be more customer service friendly by attaching your name to the card. As far as rides, employees will not be able to operate a ride that they have not been trained on. This is accomplished by swiping their employee ID to activate the ride.
