With a quorum present, the Committee on Legislation was called to order at 1:33 p.m.
MINUTES
(Burrows,Myers) Move to approve the minutes of May 22, 2006, June 12, 2006, June 19, 2006, and July 10, 2006. Motion passed 5-0.
Hanac Lease Agreement
(Bronz, Myers) Move for all purposes to authorize the county to lease property in White Plains to Hanac, Inc and the Bluestone Organization and to approve the lease agreement to construct affordable senior housing.
Chairman, Legislator Clinton Young noted that this local law and lease agreement had been reviewed and approved by the Committee on Budget and Appropriations. Since a local law is required the measure must come before the Committee on Legislation.
Legislator Bronz added that these items were also approved by the Committee on Housing.
Motion passed 4-1 (Oros, Opposed).
Financial Disclosure
(Rogowsky, Bronz) Move for all purposes to approve a separate financial disclosure short form for individuals who volunteer on County Boards, commissions and councils.
Motion passed 4-1. (Oros, Opposed)
With a quorum present, the Committee on Public Safety and Security was called to order at 1:40 p.m.
Taxi and Limousine
(Bronz, Oros) move for all purposes to approve for the Committee on Legislation (Kaplowitz, Burrows) move for all purposes for The Committee on Public Safety and Security to approve a vehicle immobilization program to enforce the provisions of the Westchester County For-Hire Vehicle Law.
Motion for the Committee on Legislation approved 5-0; Motion for the Committee on Public Safety and Security approved 4-0.
(Burrows, Myers) Move to adjourn The Committee on Legislation. Motion passed 6-0. Committee on Legislation adjourned at 1:39 p.m.
