With a quorum present, the Committee on Legislation was called to order at 1:05 p.m.
TESTING OF PRIVATE WELL WATER SYSTEMS
(Abinanti, Rogowsky) move to require the testing of private well water systems upon the sale of property and for leased properties within Westchester County. Committee members debated the need for such legislation. Motion approved 9-0 (Oros, Maisano, Burrows –without prejudice).
CHANGES TO THE LICENSES FOR THE ELECTRICAL LICENSING BOARD AND BOARD OF PLUMBING EXAMINERS
County Clerk Idoni and Mr. McGrath of his staff discussed the legislation and the changes made regarding how reciprocal licenses to individuals who are licensed outside of Westchester County. Committee members debated whether the language in the bill will achieve the desired outcome. Amendments were suggested which will be made for consideration at a future meeting.
(Myers, Burrows) Move to adjourn The Committee on Legislation. Motion passed 9-0. Committee on Legislation adjourned at 2:21 P.M.
