ITEM FOR DISCUSSION:
Departments and Offices under “Government Operations”
Guests: County Exec.’s Office: Andrew Neuman and William Randolph
Meeting was called to order by Chair Bronz with a quorum present.
She explained that when the Board Committees were being restructured for the last term, “Government Operations” was added to the Housing Committee. This is a conversation about how we view our mission. Departments will be invited to present updates and share information. Other committees with interests in the same departments and topics can join this committee in meetings instead of having multiple meetings.
Many of the issues that come to other committees have specific topics they are concerned with, this committees interest might be for general information. Leg. Pinto suggested that more attention should be paid to the taxi and limousine commission.
Leg. Burton suggested that HPGO reach out to the NYS Dept. of Housing and Community Development.
Leg. Bronz said the departments can help HPGO fulfill its oversight obligations.
Leg. Pinto made a motion to adjourn which was seconded by Leg. Burton.
