What: The County Corrections/Probation Commissioner will provide an overview of gang and violence prevention programs for young offenders at the county jail and give a statistical report on the programs' success.

Why: As chair of the County Board's Generational, Cultural and Ethnic Diversity (GCED), County Legislator Bernice Spreckman has made curbing youth and gang violence one of the committee's top priorities for 2007. Tuesday's meeting continues that discussion.
