Contact: Leg. Thomas Abinanti; Tel: (914) 592-7100; tja3@westchestergov.com
Today, Westchester County Legislator, Thomas J. Abinanti (Greenburgh - D, I, WF), Chair of the Westchester County Board of Legislators Environment & Energy Committee, joined County Executive Andrew Spano in asking the Federal Aviation Administration to revise its proposed plan which would reroute air traffic over Westchester County.
Abinanti reiterated his call on the FAA to hold public hearings in Westchester County. Legislator Abinanti noted that the hearings held to date did not provide sufficient opportunity for Westchester residents to comment on the Preferred Alternative Redesign plan, which will have a significant environmental impact on Westchester County.
