Meeting called to order at 12:55 pm.
Item(s) Discussed:
- Proposed Resolution on Seeking Additional Hearings for Indian Point Re-Licensing.
The Committee considered a proposed resolution requesting that NRC hold hearings in Westchester County regarding Entergy Corporation’s license renewal application for reactors 2 and 3 at Indian Point Energy Center. The proposed resolution also requests that NRC coordinate these meetings with the Board of Legislators. Upon being passed, the resolution is to be distributed to the regional New York congressional delegation and to NRC.
Upon motion by Leg. Kaplowitz, which was seconded by Leg. Rogowsky, the Committee voted in favor of submitting the resolution for consideration by the full Board (4-0, aye).
On the motion of Leg. Rogowsky, seconded by Leg. Myers, the Committee voted to adjourn the meeting (all in favor, aye). The meeting adjourned at 1:00 pm.
