MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2006, 4:00 P.M.

GUESTS: Kenneth Phillips, Youth Board applicant.
Mrs. Swanson called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
MINUTES
THE MINUTES OF June 14; June 21st; June 28th and July 10, 2006, were moved and approved by Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Bronz. All in favor, none opposed, motion carried 4-0.
APPOINTMENTS
YOUTH BOARD
Kenneth Phillips: Is a resident of Peekskill, New York and has been appointed by the CE to serve as a member of the Westchester County Youth Board for a term to expire on December 31, 2008.
Mr. Phillips is currently a Labor & Ash Systems Manager with Wheelabrator of Westchester, in Peekskill, where he is responsible for directing and supervising the labor and ash operators within the plant and he coordinates and plan work schedules. He was asked to serve on this board because of his numerous community activities with youth sports. He has served as the Coach of the Peekskill Little League; Flag Football Coach for the Peekskill Park & Recreation Association, PAT Member for the Peekskill Youth Board and he was a representative for the Peekskill Rotary Club.
The members were impressed with his background and experience and feels Mr. Phillips will be an asset to the Board. On the motion of Legislator Oros, seconded by Legislator Bronz, the appointment is hereby approved by a 4-0 vote. All in favor, none opposed
Maurine Koranteng: Was unable to attend today’s meeting, and is rescheduled for the November 8th meeting.

REAPPOINTMENTS
The following reappointments are hereby approved on the motion of Legislator Bronz, seconded by Legislator Pinto. All in favor, none opposed, motion carried 4-0.
Council for Seniors: Arthur Stampleman, as a District 7 representative member for a term to expire on December 31, 2007.
Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board: David Dawson; Daniel Blum; Adam Ochs: All as members for a term to expire on December 31, 2008.
Fire Advisory Board: Francis Grosso, as a member, for a term to expire December 31, 2008.
AGENDA ITEMS TO BE RECEIVED & FILED:
The Designation of Deputies for the following departments are received and filed on the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Bronz, by 4-0 vote:
Department of Parks, Recreation & Conservation’
Department of Environmental Facilities;
Westchester Community College;
Department of Information Technology;
Mrs. Swanson announced the following dates for upcoming committee meetings:
November 8, 15, 29 and December 6, 2006.
With no other business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
