MINUTES: February 9, 2004
RULES Committee MEMBERS: Chair: Young; Legislators: Ryan, Wishnie
IN ATTENDANCE: STAFF: Kriss, Perez
Meeting called to order by Chair Young at 9:30 a.m.
Legislator Wishnie made a motion to approve the minutes for January 26, 2004. Seconded by Legislator Ryan. All in favor – Aye.
The Committee discussed the Board Rules Resolution (on file).
Discussion ensued regarding § 2 of Rule One, notification to Legislators about Special meetings, § 3 of Rule 6, the powers of the Chairman to appoint employees as necessary after consultation with the Rules Committee, amendment to Rule Twenty, and Rule Twenty-Eight (new rule) was added regarding the time to place items on the legislative agenda.
Legislator Wishnie made a motion to recess at 9:35 am. Seconded by Legislator Ryan. All in favor – Aye.
Meeting reconvened at 5:00 p.m.
Legislator Wishnie made a motion to vote on Resolution. Seconded by Legislator Ryan. All in favor – Aye.
Legislator Wishnie made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:10 p.m. Seconded by Legislator Ryan. All in favor – Aye.
