ON THE MOTION OF LEGISLATOR PINTO SECOND BY LEGISLATOR ROGOWSKY THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED ON JULY 27, 2004. ALL THOSE IN FAVOR – AYE – CARRIED 4-0 .
MINUTES:
Chairman Young called the meeting to order at 9:30 AM
Legislator Pinto made a motion to approve the Committee on Public Works minutes of February 24, 2004; second by Legislator Rogowsky. All those in favor – Aye – Carried 4-0.
Legislator Pinto made a motion to approve the Committee on Public Works minutes of June 15, 2004; second by Legislator Young. All those in favor – Aye – Carried 4-0.
FOR DISCUSSION TODAY:
From the Board of Acquisition & Contracts Pre-Board (June 11, 2004)
Subject: Authority to enter into an agreement with First Environment, Inc. for consulting services for the development and operation of an environmental management system utilizing ISO-14001 at the Department of Environmental Facilities for a fee not to exceed $320,000.
Legislator Rogowsky stated that he had several concerns regarding this contract for work to be done at the County Airport and that Bob Funicello (DEF) addressed his concerns and that he is satisfied with the response.
REFERRALS FOR DISCUSSION:
14. HON. MICHAEL KAPLOWITZ: Sewer District Modification: Request from the Town of Somers requesting the addition of 62.48 acres located in the Town of Somers into the Peekskill Sanitary Sewer District. (06/07/04 – Also referred to B&A)
Moved by Legislator Wishnie; second by Legislator Pinto. All those in favor – Aye – Carried 4-0.
20. COUNTY EXECUTIVE: Sewer District Modification: Act modifying the Peekskill Sanitary Sewer District by the return of 62 parcels of property located in the Town of Yorktown. (06/21/04 – Also referred to B&A) {This referral is from 2003 Public Works Agenda # 108; Letter sent to Administration & Municipality on 10/27/03}
Moved by Legislator Pinto to forward request to the Administration for processing and copy to the municipality; second by Legislator Wishnie. All those in favor – Aye – Carried 4-0.
Chairman Young made a motion to take a recess until the start of a joint meeting with the Committee on Budget & Appropriations at 9:37AM.
The Committee on Public Works reconvened at 10:10 AM to start a joint meeting with the Committee on Budget & Appropriations to discuss the following Agenda referral:
15. COUNTY EXECUTIVE: County Courthouse: Local law authorizing the County to execute amendments to the program documents for the County Courthouse reconstruction project and execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the New York State Dormitory Authority. (06/07/04 – Also referred to B&A) {DISCUSSED ON 06/21/04 in B&A – NOT SIGNED OUT}
Moved by Legislator Wishnie; second by Legislator Pinto. All those in favor – Aye – Carried 4-0.
Chairman Young made a motion to adjourn the Committee on Public Works meeting at 10:35 AM; Second by Legislator Wishnie. All those in favor – Aye – Carried 4-0.
