Meeting called to order at 9:35 am.
On the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Rogowsky the minutes for April 5, 2005 were approved (3-0).
Items Discussed
BSS10 – Bond Act authorizing the County to issue up to $1,800,000 in bonds to finance infrastructure improvements to shelter facilities at the Coachman Family Center.
Legislator Young stated that he toured the facility with Commissioner Butler on Thursday, April 14, 2005 and determined inadequate maintenance at the facility. Item will be discussed at a later date once the Administration and Westhab provides the appropriate information to the Committee.
B035A - Bond Act authorizing the issuance of $250,000 for Heavy Equipment Replacement.
On the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Rogowsky the item was carried. The vote was 3-0.
RB072 - Bond Act authorizing the issuance of $1,700,000 for Replacement of Highway/Traffic Signage.
On the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Rogowsky the item was carried. The vote was 3-0.
RB076 - Bond Act authorizing the issuance of $125,000 in County bonds to finance the Palmer Avenue capital project.
On the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Rogowsky the item was carried. The vote was 3-0.
P0016 - Bond Act authorizing the issuance of $350,000 in County bonds to finance the Bronx River Parkway capital project.
On the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Rogowsky the item was carried. The vote was 3-0.
B004A - Bond Act authorizing the issuance of $200,000 in County bonds to finance the replacement of the Underground Steam and Condensate Piping at the Valhalla Campus.
Legislator Rogowsky questioned how old is the work, who should be responsible for repairs, and what is the life expectancy of the work.
Legislator Young suggested that the Administration search for answers to the questions and report back to the Committee.
RB01L - Bond Act authorizing the issuance of $450,000 in bonds to finance capital project: Stone Place over Bronx River Parkway.
On the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Rogowsky the item was carried. The vote was 3-0.
RB01K - Bond Act authorizing the issuance of $1,000,000 in bonds to finance capital project: Pondfield Road over Bronx River Parkway.
On the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Rogowsky the item was carried. The vote was 3-0.
RB01I - Bond Act authorizing the issuance of $750,000 in bonds to finance capital project: Tuckahoe Road over Bronx River Parkway.
On the motion of Legislator Rogowsky, seconded by Legislator Pinto the item was carried. The vote was 3-0.
BPL21 - Bond Act authorizing the issuance of $220,000 in County bonds to finance capital project: Water Quality Improvement Projects.
On the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Rogowsky the item was carried. The vote was 3-0.
On the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Rogowsky the meeting adjourned at 10: 05 am.
