Meeting was brought to order by Leg. Michael Kaplowitz, Committee on Budget & Appropriations Chair and Leg. Lois Bronz, Committee on Housing Chair.
The item for discussion was an Act authorizing the County to amend and assign an agreement to Kensico Terrace LLC regarding an affordable housing project in White Plains.
Nancy MacMillan of the Planning Dept. responded to questions about changes to the project since the original agreement in 2001. Leg. Bronz raised concerns about changes in the financing structure. Leg. Ryan questioned where this project was in its development and why affordable housing projects took so long to become reality. Leg. Kaplowitz announced that the item would be tabled and discussed at the next meeting of his committee on Monday, June 21.
Leg. Bronz adjourned the meeting of the Housing Committee to reconvene on June 21.
