COMMITTEE ON COUNTY OFFICERS AND DEPARTMENTS

The meeting convened at 3:45PM.
The Committee discussed the reappointment of the following individuals:
Youth Board
The Appointment of Salvatore Lagonia with the term to expire 12/31/06.
Mr. Lagonia failed to make his appointment to appear before the committee.
The Appointment of Mr. Hayling Price with the term to expire 12/31/06.
On the motion of Legislator Astorino, seconded by Legislator Latimer, the item was approved by a (4-0) vote.
Electrical Licensing Board
The reappointment of Garry R. Lynch with the term to expire 12/31/06.
On the motion of Legislator Astorino, seconded by Legislator Stewart-Cousins, the item was approved by a (4-0) vote.
Emergency Medical Services Board
The reappointment of Roland Faucher with the term to expire 12/31/06.
On the motion of Legislator Latimer, seconded by Legislator Stewart-Cousins, the item was approved by a (4-0) vote.
The reappointment of Scott T. Moore with the term to expire 12/31/06.
On the motion of Legislator Latimer, seconded by Legislator Stewart-Cousins, the item was approved by a (4-0) vote.
Board of Ethics
The reappointment of Eric DiBartolo with the term to expire 12/12/06.
Legislator Pinto advised the committee that he received a legal opinion from the county attorney stating that Mr. DiBartolo should be viewed as reappointment, not an appointment, to the Board of Ethics. (Legal Opinion is on file).
On the motion of Legislator Latimer, seconded by Legislator Astorino, the item was approved by a (4-0) vote.
Traffic Safety Board
The reappointment of Ralph Butler with the term to expire 12/31/06.
On the motion of Legislator Latimer, seconded by Legislator Astorino, the item was approved by a (4-0) vote.
Women’s Advisory Board
The Appointment of Nancy Fitch with the term to expire 12/31/05.
On the motion of Legislator Latimer, seconded by Legislator Stewart-Cousins, the item was approved by a (4-0) vote.
The Committee recessed at 4:20 pm
The Committee reconvened at 4:30Pm to discuss the appointment of Andrea Stewart-Cousins to the Board of Health
The appointment of Andrea Stewart-Cousins with the term limit contingent upon her membership to the Board of Legislators.
On motion of Legislator Astorino, seconded by Legislator Latimer, the motion was approved by a (3-0) vote. Legislator Cousins was out for the vote.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 4:35 p.m.
