COMMITTEE ON COUNTY OFFICERS AND DEPARTMENTS

MINUTES: January 10, 2005

MEMBERS: Chair: Vito Pinto; Legislators: Astorino, Rogowsky, Spreckman, Stewart-Cousins.

The meeting was called to order at 4:06 p.m.

African American Advisory Board

Legislator Rogowsky made a motion to approve the resolution confirming the reappointment of Winston Ross as a member of the African American Advisory Board for the term January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2006 and it was seconded by Legislator Spreckman. The motion was carried by a vote of 4-0.

Professional Prequalification Board

Legislator Rogowsky made a motion to approve the resolutions confirming the reappointments of 1) John P. Annicelli, P.E.- Professional Engineer Representative Member and 2) Adolph M. Orlando, RA - Architect Member of the Professional Prequalification Board and it was seconded by Legislator Astorino. Both terms are to expire December 31, 2008. The motion was carried by a vote of 4-0.

Refuse Disposal District No. 1 Advisory Board

Legislator Rogowsky made a motion to approve the resolution confirming the reappointment of Peter W. Bonhag as a member of the Westchester County Refuse Disposal District No. 1 for the term January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2006 and it was seconded by Legislator Astorino. The motion was carried by a vote of 4-0.

DISCUSSION

Legislator Rogowsky requested that the Committee inquire whether appointees and reappointees are filing Annual Financial Disclosures in time and whether the Professional Prequalification Board is an “advisory” board. Legislator Pinto stated that he would sit down with the appropriate personnel to answer the above.

On motion of Legislator Astorino, seconded by Legislator Stewart-Cousins the meeting was adjourned at 4:21 p.m.
