GENERAL ELECTION INFORMATION
Tuesday, November 3 is the date of the upcoming general election.  Here’s what you need to know:


Registering to Vote

  • To be eligible to vote in the upcoming general election, you must register in advance.
  • You must mail-in, or deliver to the Board of Election a voter registration form. Mail-in forms must be postmarked by October 9, 2020 and received at the BOE by October 14, 2020.  In-person registration may take place through October 9.
  • Forms and additional registration information may be found at https://citizenparticipation.westchestergov.com/register-to-vote.

Early Voting

  • The New York State Early Voting Period for the 2020 General Election is October 24 through November 1.
  • When early voting polling sites have been selected, a link to them will be posted here.
  • All registered voters also will receive a postcard in the mail informing them of local early voting locations.

Polling Places

  • The COVID-19 pandemic will likely impact the availability of polling places for November 3, which means your polling place may or may not be your usual one.
  • When polling places have been selected a link to them will be posted here.
  • All registered voters also will receive a postcard in the mail informing them of their election day polling places.

Absentee Ballots

  • Absentee ballot rules for the general election may be changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, as they were for other elections earlier in the year. Please check back frequently for the latest absentee balloting information.
