Senior Matinee Movie

Legislator David Tubiolo (Mount Vernon & Yonkers) is excited to announce the completion of his second senior trip, to the Jacob Burns Film Center* for the Senior Movie Matinee!

On Wednesday, January 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jacob Burns Film Center, the Senior Movie Matinee is played the films, ‘The Lady in the Van’ starring Maggie Smith and ‘There’s a Future in Our Past’ about the renowned musician Vince Giordano.

Transportation was free for seniors, provided by Legislator Tubiolo via bus, as well as refreshments. With over 30 seniors in attendance, this was our biggest senior trip yet to the film center. The total cost for seniors was $7 each for the price of admission.

Legislator Tubiolo said, “Keeping our seniors active, social and mobile is vital to their health and well-being. I’m glad that we’re continuing the work of living legend Bernice Spreckman. We’re planning to have several more trips for our amazing senior community of Mount Vernon and Yonkers.”

Legislator Tubiolo is proud to have been appointed as Chair of the Senior & Constituencies committee, the same position held by his predecessor and mentor, Bernice Spreckman. He vowed to continue Bernice Spreckman’s legacy as being an active and vocal advocate for seniors.
