White Plains, NY — At the final Board meeting of 2023 on December 11, the Board of Legislators honored three outgoing Legislators with the Distinguished Service Award, the highest recognition the Board can bestow on an individual who has significantly benefited the general welfare and common good of the County through dedicated public service.

White Plains, NY — This morning, the Westchester County Board of Legislators passed the 2024 Westchester County Budget.

White Plains, NY — Last Thursday morning, members of the Board of Legislators attended the annual Thanksgiving Diversity Breakfast, co-sponsored by event founder, American Jewish Committee (AJC) Westchester/Fairfield, Westchester Jewish Council (WJC), the Ecumenical and Interreligious Commission of the Episcopal Diocese of New York, the Holocaust, Genocide, and Interfaith Education Center at Manhattan College, OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates Westchester and Hudson Valley, and Iona University. In addition to the Legislators depicted above, Legislator Jewel Williams Johnson (D - Elmsford, Greenburgh, Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, White Plains) and Legislator Terry Clements (D - New Rochelle, Pelham, Pelham Manor) were in attendance.

Speaker and audience at the November 16, 20223 2024 Budget Public Input Session

White Plains, NY — On Thursday night, the Board of Legislators held the first of three opportunities for the public to engage in the 2024 budget process at a public input session at the Warner Library in Tarrytown. The event went from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., with close to 60 speakers representing organizations that rely on funding from the County to implement their programs.
